Do Affirmations Work?
An Affirmation is a powerful tool that can help you to transform your life dramatically. When created correctly, and practiced daily, affirmations can help you reprogram your subconscious mind. Another way to describe affirmations is thinking on purpose. When you think on purpose, you are changing the neural pathways in your subconscious mind.
If practiced daily, affirmations can work wonders in your life.
The first step in creating a powerful affirmation is to know what you want. Whether it is to lose weight, live life more authentically, feel more self-confident, or earn more money, you must clearly define your desires.
Once you have identified your desired outcome, create an affirmation that expresses your intention with clarity and conviction. For instance, if your goal is to become financially secure, you might create an affirmation like "I am abundant, and money flows to me easily and effortlessly."
However, one key caveat, your affirmation has to be believable to you.
Otherwise, you are creating resistance to the very thing you desire.
There are always two ends to every desire - the belief that "it is possible" and the belief that it isn’t. Creating an effective affirmation has to lean on the "it is the possible end." of the stick. This is the one thing most people overlook.
Just chanting "I am abundant, and money flows to me easily and effortlessly." won't bring money to you easily or effortlessly, if you don’t believe that to be a realistic statement.
You have to find some middle ground that is believable.
Maybe you try: “I notice that money flows to me easily and effortlessly when I am feeling abundant."
If that is a true statement for you, then run with it, but again if that still doesn't resonate with you - find a better feeling thought to affirm.
Your affirmation MUST be believable. Maybe you start with gratitude. Find something you are genuinely grateful for. From that, you can build on to the next step. “I am grateful for the abundance in my life.” Hopefully, you can look through your life and focus on a time when you felt abundant. Tap into that feeling.
Once you have developed an affirmation that feels true, then you need to set aside time to practice your affirmation daily. You can do this by repeating them to yourself every morning before you start your day, and every evening before you go to bed. You can also make use of visualization to help you to feel the emotions associated with your affirmation. For example, if your affirmation is about abundance, you can visualize yourself living in abundance, feeling the emotions of joy, gratitude, and fulfillment.
The key to making affirmations work is consistency. You need to practice them every day, without fail. It takes time to reprogram your subconscious mind, so be patient and persistent. Over time, you will start to notice a shift in the way you think and feel. You will become more confident, more positive, and more aligned with your goals.
As you continue to practice your affirmations, you will start to see changes in your life. You will start attracting the things you desire, and you will achieve your goals faster than you ever thought possible. You will also become more resilient and better equipped to deal with any challenges that come your way.
